THE SURROUNDING AREA OF ST. GRIGOR CHURCH (BARDZRAQASH) IN VILLAGE DSEGH RENOVATED

The Regional Service PHE of Lori together with Gugarats Episcopate carried out sanitation and improvement activities in ST. Grigor Bardzraqash monastery complex in village Dsegh.

Before starting the renovation works there were held open classes in ST. Harutyun Chapel and monastery complex. It was aimed to instill love and respect for cultural heritage among the younger generation. During the lesson H. Maruqyan (the researcher of the regional PHE of Lori) presented the history of the complex and other monuments of the village.

The students of the youth union of Gugarac Episcopate and the employees of the PHE of Lori region took part in the renovation activities. The surrounding area of the complex was cleared of grass, shrubs, unnecessary vegetation, etc.. The vegetable waste was removed from the environs of the complex. The works were accompanied by hymns (palms of Armenian Church) and spiritual songs performed by young people.
