SEYRAN ARAMAYIS ARAKELYAN
Born on January 20, 1958 in the town of Kajaran of Armenian SSR (at present – Syunik province of the Republic of Armenia).
1964-1974 – completed high school N 3 in Yerevan.
1974-1975 – completed Electrotechnical School N 9 in Yerevan.
1975-1980 – studied at the Faculty of History in Yerevan State University and got the qualification of historian.
1976-1978 – studied at the Faculty of Social Sciences and got the qualification of jurisprudent.
1980-1984 – worked as an instructor in the branch of the Trade Unions Council of Armenia.
1984-1994 – worked as a retired chairperson in the Manufacturing Union of knitwear in Goris.
1994-1995 – worked as a deputy of the Head of Executive Committee of the Goris Deputies Committee Division.
1995 – was designated as an official representative of the government with authorization of the Head of the Executive Committee in the Goris region.
May 1996 – May 1997 – worked in the Customs Division first as a Deputy of the Head and then as a Head in the Office of Means of Mass Information of the Customs-House of Meghri province.
2001 – was the councilor of the Head of Yerevan Agency of National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia.
2006-2012 – worked as a senior specialist, then as a Deputy Head of the Administration Department in the Staff of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia. In 2009 got the degree of the Second Class Advisor of Civil Service.
Since September 2012 – is the Deputy on the Economic Affairs and the Systematization of the Activities of the branches of the “Service for the Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum Reservations” Non Commercial State Organization of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia.
1988-1991 – took part in the Karabakh Movement and was the head of the stuff of the self-defence forces of Goris region.
Seyran Arakelyan is married and has five children and five grandchildren.
Arakelyan was awarded with the medal “Vazgen Sargsyan” of the Ministry of Defence of Republic of Armenia, “Land-Defender” Soldier Union homonymic badge, the letters of commendation from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia, the Ministry of Defence of Republic of Armenia and the Main Stuff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.
