MOVIE SCREENING AND OPEN LESSON IN SHIRAK REGION

By the initiative of NCSO’s Shirak regional service and division of organizing exhibitions, film screenings in Haykadzor community’s secondary school and Shirak’s regional library in Gyumri were organized. In the secondary school “Following the steps of Roslin” was screened, which is devoted to the biography of famous miniaturist Toros Roslin. Pupils and teachers of Haykadzor secondary school were present at the movie screening. The latter was followed by cognitive lesson devoted to the monuments of the region held by the head of regional service Valerik Nazaretyan. They touched upon the problems of the reservation of monuments.

In the regional library of Shirak, “Momik” movie was screened for the students of Shirak’s state university’s department of art studies and employees of the library, which is dedicated to brilliant miniaturist, architecture Momik. The director of the library Gevorg Amiryan, representatives of public organizations, beginner architects and art lovers also watched the film.

The movie screening was preceded by deputy director of Shirak regional service and scientific worker Anushik Boarkyan’s reports, and at the end discussion was organized devoted to the reservation and popularization of the cultural values of Armenians, after which the presents got acquainted with the thematic exhibition of the library’s art.

These kind of events are organized for introducing young generations our rich cultural heritage.
