MONUMENTS OF KOTAYQ AND ARARAT REGIONS COVERED WITH VEGETATION HAVE BEEN CLEANED

By the recommendation of “Protection service” NCSO’s director, headed by the director of NCSO’s Kotayq regional service,  with the efforts of young volunteers and NCSO’s employees the roof of Kamaris village’s Holy Astvatsatsin chapel covered with vegetation was cleaned,  sanitary cleanings were carried out. Kamaris community’s head Gor Hakobyan also took part in them.

The participants were provided with all the necessary working tools:  stepladder, axe, shovel, rake, gloves, sacks. They started working only after getting necessary indications about security rules and keeping the monument undamaged.

Some walls and roofs of Ararat region’s monuments were also cleaned from vegetation. NCSO’s Ararat regional service cooperating with N military unit in Ararat region and young volunteers, carried out sanitary cleanings in the roofs and walls of Holy Karapet monastic complex and Holy Hovhannes church.

In the end, Roman Karapetyan the head of the regional service presented interesting information about the registered monuments in the territory of Armenia including Ararat region and particularly about Holy Karapet monastic complex.
