EIGHT MONUMENTS IN SHIRAK REGION AND 10 MONUMENTS IN ARAGATSOTN HAVE BEEN CLEANED FROM VEGETATION

According to RA’s minister of culture Armen Amiryan’s recommendation given a few days ago, employees of NCSO’s regional services, museum-reserves and reserves together with volunteers undertook the cleaning of vegetation from the roofs, dooms and walls of monuments. Particularly Shirak’s regional service together with Anipemza community’s secondary school pupils, teachers, Gyumri’s N military unit’s servicemen, community residents and other  volunteers keeping the monument undamaged implemented appropriate sanitary cleanings in the monument territories of Anipemza community’s Ereruyq temple and EAZ in Gusanagyugh community, “Karmir vanq”, Beniamin community’s EAZ, Harich community’s chapel dated to 12-13 centuries, St. Harutyun church.

Before starting the work the volunteer groups got necessary indications about security.

Before and after cleaning monument territories from vegetation, employees of regional service minuted the condition of monuments. They gave necessary information to pupils about the above mentioned monuments. Servicemen also enriched their knowledge about the monuments. The head of the regional service held a cognitive lesson concerning the reservation of monuments. He highlighted the importance of the participation of each and expressed conviction that this kind of works will be continuing.

Soldiers, the warrantors of the security of our borders are also the protectors of our cultural heritage. The fact does not need to be proved as they always take part in the sanitary cleanings in monument territories.  With their support and participation the vegetation in the territory of Gyumri’s orthodox church was cleaned.

The employees of the regional service and volunteer groups carried out appropriate works in other monument territories of the region as well.

The unfavourable weather conditions didn’t hinder employees of Aragatsotn regional service to clean the region’s Amberd, Ushi community’s St. Astvatsatin church, Tegher community’s Tegher monastic complex, Karbi community’s church dating back to 13th century , Ujan’s chapel and other 5 monuments.

The works of regional services and volunteers are still going on in other regions.
