FUTURE HISTORIANS HOSTED IN NCSO

Armenian state pedagogical university’s second year students of the faculty of history and law hosted in the “Protection service” NCSO. Future historians were accompanied by the lecturers of the chair of Armenian history, assistant professors, professors Frunze Mayilyan and Levon Simonyan.

Ara Tarverdyan, the director of “Protection service” NCSO and deputy director Karen Pahlevanyan greeted the students introducing the multidisciplinary activity of NCSO, the regional services and the everyday working routine of reservations and museum-reserves. They touched upon the reservation of more than 19 000 monuments, the problems and measures taken for the popularization of the monuments.

Within the framework of the educational practice the students were in the funds of NCSO, accompanied by Karen Pahlevanyan and Liana Gevorgyan, got to know the documentary materials, projects of outstanding architects, measurements, as well as the archaeological, ethnographic and textile collections.

In the nearest future it is planned to organize the practice of the students in NCSO’s museum-reserves.
