In “Protection service” NCSO’s session the projects of 2018-2019 years were discussed. The session was held by NCSO’s scientist-secretary Ashot Piliposyan.
Talking about 2019’s scientific projects Ashot Piliposyan touched upon the excavations implemented within the framework of “Protection service” NCSO’s cooperation with Warsaw’s archaeological institute. He mentioned that the agreement signed between both sides in 2013 was prolonged for another 5 years. In 2018 Armenian-Polish expedition group will continue working in Metsamor site’s urban district.
The excavations of 2018 will be continued in the territory of “Zorac qarer” archaeological monument and Odzaberd fortress located near Tsovinar settlement.
The cooperation started since 2011 between “Protection service” NCSO and RF’s scientific-research institute of cultural and natural heritage after S. Likhachov will also be continued. A. Piliposyan also mentioned that the individual texts of the guides in the museum-reserves and reserves need to be discussed and edited.
In 2019 it is planned to publish NCSO’s “Historical-cultural heritage” collection’s 5th volume and the photo album entitled “Syunik”.
The members of the session discussed the 4th volume of “Historical-cultural heritage” collection, “Odzaberd” brochure, “The process of the creation and organization of RA’s historical-cultural museum-reserves”, “Jugha” album and “The grounds of museum’s fund works” manual.
According to the members of the scientific-methodological session all suggested works are of great importance and significance for the reservation, research and popularization of historical-cultural heritage. At the same time the authors were offered by the session members to make some corrections in the works prepared to be published.
