VOLUNTEERS LEAVE ARMENIA IMPRESSED WITH THE BEAUTY OF ARMENIA

 

“Zvartnots” historical-cultural museum-reserve again hosted the volunteers arrived to Armenia from different parts of the world within the framework of UNESCO’s “World heritage volunteers” program.

In the international volunteer camp held by “Headquarters of Student Brigades” “HUJ” organization this time took part 12 young people from Armenia, Spain, Serbia, Southern Korea and Denmark.

They learn about the activity of “Zvartnots” historical-cultural museum-reserve, watched the permanent exhibition. Within the framework of the program, sanitary cleanings were implemented in the monument’s territory. Foreigners had the opportunity to recognize Armenia. An interesting excursion was organized for them.

They visited Matenadaran, Cafesjian museum of art, “Garni” historical-cultural museum-reserve, Geghardavank, admired with the beauty of blue Sevan.

Foreigners also learnt about Armenian traditional song, dance and cuisine. They made qufta, Armenian gata and tasted wine. In their turn, they introduced Spanish, Danish, Serbian and Korean cuisines to their Armenian friends.

Based on the impressions got from our country volunteers painted Armenia perceived by them. Before leaving they shared their impressions with “Protection service” NCSO’s director Ara Tarverdyan and HUJ’s head Stepan Stepanyan, mentioning that they are admired with the unique architecture of Armenia.

They will surely represent Armenia to their friends, suggesting that they also visit our country. They were also admired by our hospitality and warmth. Danish Sisel Sofie Polsen even got excited while speaking.

S. Stepanyan exhorted them to save the formed friendship, remembering Armenia and Zvartnots.

“We hope you will visit Armenia again as tourists and will bring your friends with you”, said Stepanyan.

“I want to see you all in our country as cultural ambassadors of your country. I’m sure that the impressions you got from Armenia will stay in your memories forever”, mentioned Ara Tarverdyan in his speech.
