According to RA’s deputy minister of culture Tigran Galstyan’s recommendation “Protection service” NCSO’s head of the division of operative response Menua Gevorgyan, head of NCSO’s Gegharkunik regional service Gor Gasparyan were at Kond’s St. Hovhannes Mkrtich church and the khachkar dating back to 12-13th centuries located in the yard was moved to its previous place- Gegharkunik region’s Martuni community.
By the efforts of the employees of the regional service the khachkar was moved to its former place, in the territory of “Red church” complex /Hin Getik/ having a republican importance.
The khachkar was moved to Yerevan from Martuni community in the soviet period and was placed in the yard of a Yerevan citizen for a long period of time, further was moved to the territory of Kond’s St. Hovhannes Mkrtich church. Here the monument was noticed and was safely moved to its former place.
