“Protection service” NCSO’s anthropologist Hasmik Simonyan and the head of the division of operative response Menua Gevorgyan took part in the youth international summit in Moscow titled “New materials and methods of archaeological research: From the criticism of resource to the obtaining of datum and interpretation”.

They delivered a speech entitled “Problems of reburial. The allocation of archaeological materials in the chambers of Metsamor’s tumulus. They presented the brief summary of reburials, allocation of objects in mausoleums, excavations held in the most modern methods in the territory of “Metsamor” archaeological monument by Armenian-Polish expedition group.

The reporters also mentioned about the burial ritual excavated in the site’s territory, anthropological and zoological materials.

All in all 100 reports were delivered in the conference from Armenia’s, Germany’s, Lithuania’s, Tajikistan’s and Russia’s 30 research centers.

By the end of the works H. Simonyan and M. Gevorgyan were invited to take part in the upcoming conferences in Georgia and Kazakhstan.
