Kuris village students learned about the local monuments, received information on the lithographs engraved on them, and then carried out sanitation works. In the Village (former name Kuravank) maintained  St. Sarkis Church, from 15-16 centuries. Kuris 1.5 km south-east from Kuris  is Hgerak village, where there is a Holy Savior Church, preserved in 10-17 centuries. The ruins of the ancient settlement dating back Kurkutakhach. St. Church of the Savior on the verge of the open pit mine extensions Copper-Molybdenum Combine.
