On May 25, \u201cProtection Service\u201d NCSO\u201ds Vayots Dzor Regional Service organized a march from Eghegnadzor\u2019s park after Momik, devoted to the 1566th anniversary of Vardananc battle. Eghegnadzor\u2019s regional state college and Armenian State Univerity of Economics Eghegnadzor branch\u2019s students, together with Eghegnadzor\u2019s N1 and N2 school\u2019s pupils, teachers, Vayots Dzor diocese\u2019s \u201cYouth Union\u201d public organization\u2019s members, NCSO\u2019s regional service\u2019s and \u201cArpi\u201d Natural-Historical Reservation workers had gathered round Momik\u2019s Memorial stone.<\/p>\n
The members of the march headed from Narekatsi Street to \u201cQyoshk\u201d fort with flags, Vardananq canvases and watchwords devoted to the monuments reservation. The march was accompanied by sharakans and patriotic songs.<\/p>\n
On the top of the fort, welcoming the members, Vazgen Hovhannisyan, Eghegnadzor region\u2019s Clergyman told about the Avarayr battle and its\u2019 fatal role in the Armenian history, about the temple founded by Gyut Catholicos in the commemoration of the victims and St. Sargis church built in the area of the temple in the 17th century.<\/p>\n
He mentioned that today more than ever our nation is in need of unity and love to our homeland.<\/p>\n
Melanya Dovlatyan, the head of the Vayots Dzor region service, quoting Eghishe\u2019s words \u201cPercieved death is immortality\u201d, added that the nation preserves the stone relics and bends down for their commemoration. She detailed about the sacred places and chapels in Eghegnadzor, Shatin and Atabuynq.<\/p>\n
The participants of the march put flowers on the khachqar erected in commemoration of Vardananc and organized a candle lighting.<\/p>\n
