An exhibition was opened at Geological Museum and Art Gallery of Dilijan\u00a0 on August 17, entitled \u201cAdherent to the tradition, creation and color\u201d dedicated to the 95th<\/sup> anniversary of the painter, museum-creator Hovhannes Sharambeyan.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo talk about Hovhannes Sharambeyan and say that he is only an artist or a painter\u00a0 means to say nothing. Sharambeyan was a multy-faceted person. When a painter speaks about him he says he is a painter, the ethnographer says he is a ethnographer, specialists in other fields consider him a collegue. His organizational activities in the closed Soviet system can be called developing under his brand name. The heritage\u00a0 he left to Dilijan proves that he was really not only the developer of culture.<\/p>\n

We are grateful to Arman Badeyan the director of the Geological Museum of \u00a0Dilijan for giving us the opportunity to present Sharambeyan\u2019s heritage which is \u00a0kept in the SNCO funds, to pay our respect \u00a0to the memory of the great Armenian. Thanks also to Lusine Torosyan the director of the \u00a0Folk Arts Museum,- Ara Tarverdyan \u00a0the director of the \u201cProtection Service\u201d SNCO, said in his opening speech.<\/p>\n

The painter\u2019s grandson Narek Van Ashughatoyan thanked the organizers of the event and said that the SNCO and\u00a0 Geological Museum and Art \u00a0Gallery of Dilijan \u00a0have \u00a0always kept Hovhannes Sharambeyan\u2019s memory alive. According to him, the most wonderful way to keep the memory of his grandfather alive is \u00a0the heritage he left to come back to life and live.<\/p>\n

The event, organized by \u201cProtection Service\u201d SNCO, \u00a0Geological Museum and Art Gallery of Dilijan and Hovhannes Sharambeyan\u2019s heirs, were \u00a0featured the artist\u2019s paintings, photographs, personal belongings and the painter\u2019s life.<\/p>\n

In parallel with his painting activities, \u00a0Sharambeyan collected, preserved and passed on to future generations valuable works of art and art of the Armenian people. In order to preserve the national culture, he collected samples of Armenian folk art, gathered around him masters of embroidery, wood , carpet weaving, silversmithing, pottery and other fields, to lead them to the roots of national culture.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, an event dedicated to Hovhannes Sharambeyan\u2019s \u00a095th<\/sup> anniversary \u00a0entitled \u00a0\u201cHacin yergy\u201d was held at the Dilijan branch of the Folk Art Museum.<\/p>\n
