On February 13, at 17:00, one of the important holidays of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Tyarnendarach<\/em> (coming yet from the times of the Pagan Armenia and was called Trndez<\/em> in those times) will be celebrated in the historical and cultural “Garni” Museum-Reservation and in the “Lori Berd (Fortress) \u201dSettlement\u201d historical and cultural Reservation.<\/p>\n

The event at the \u201cGarni\u201d Museum-Reservation will begin at the Surb Khach (the Holy Cross) Church of the Garni Community.<\/p>\n

With fire taken from the Church lampadas, participants of the Event accompanied with the national songs and music will move to the Museum-Reservation where a bonfire will be lit at a specially designated place for the event. (In accordance with an ancient tradition, the newly wed should jump over that bonfire.)<\/p>\n

The event will begin at 17: 00.<\/p>\n

At the Historical and Cultural Reservation “Lori Berd” Settlement\u201d, a branch of the State Non-Commercial Organization “Service for the Protection of the Historical Environment and Historical and Cultural Museum-Reservations”, the same event will start at 17.00 as well, at the planned place.<\/p>\n

Famous ensembles of traditional song and dance will perform at the site.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the event planned at the “Garni” historical and cultural Museum-Reservation and the \u201cLori Berd” Settlement\u201d historical and cultural Reservation is to bring a Monument even closer to the people and to shape a caring attitude to the cultural heritage, when preserving national, traditional holidays.<\/p>\n

Entrance: with tickets for visiting the historical and cultural Reservation and the Museum-Reservation.<\/p>\n
