On October 2-3, at Komitas Museum-Institute will be held the international conference dedicated to the 50th anniversary of \u00abMetsamor\u00bb archaeological excavations and 45th anniversary of the foundation of Museum Reserve on the initiative of \u00abService for the Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum Reservations\u00bb, NCSO.<\/p>\n
The international conference titled \u00abThe chronicle of half century excavations in Metsamor\u00bb will be attended by high-ranking officials from Ministry of Culture, Jerzy Nowakowski (Poland`s Ambassador to Armenia), representatives from Committee of Science, Armenian Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography and from Russian Institute for Cultural Heritage. Armenian and foreign historians and archaeologists of Russia, Poland, Belarus, Georgia, Italia and Nagorno-Karabakh will deliver a report. <\/p>\n
At the Conference ancient history and rich cultural heritage of \u00abMetsamor\u00bb will be presented. The report includes issues of compensation for damaged monuments and condition of archaeological heritage. <\/p>\n
On October 3, at 13:30 the participants of the conference will leave \u00abMetsamor\u00bb to take part in the opening of the exhibition. Archaeological objects excavated during these excavations will also be presented at a conference. <\/p>\n
There are published two scientific works for jubilees: scientific article entitled \u00abThe chronicle of half century excavations in Metsamor\u00bb and historical overview about excavations entitled \u00abMetsamor\u00bb on the initiative of \u00abService for the Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum Reservations\u00bb, NCSO.<\/p>\n
