On March 3, 2016 the Conference of the Methodological Council of \u00abService for the Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum Reservations\u00bb was held and was chaired by deputy director in scientific activities Ashot Piliposyan (doctor-professor of historical sciences). 19 out of 21 members of the council took part in the council. The Methodological Council discussed and took appropriate decisions regarding 5 issues on the agenda. The 2016 work plan of NCSO was approved. The 2017 scientific program of NCSO was discussed and approved. <\/p>\n
It is planned to continue excavation works on the territory of \u00abMetsamor\u00bb Historical-Archaeological Museum-Reserve. There will also be series excavations on the territory of Historical-Cultural Preservation \u00abZorats Qarer Settlement\u00bb. There will also continue scientific projects with Institute for Cultural and Natural Heritage named after D.Likhachev and Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno. The nine-point plan also provides for the implementation of the scientific research and publishing activities.<\/p>\n
At the methodological council there were also presented the results of archaeological excavation of Armenian-Polish expedition which was occurred in 2015 in \u00abMetsamor\u00bb site. The publication of \u00abZorats Qarer\u00bb book was also approved.<\/p>\n
There was also discussed the issue of publishing the work \u00abSettlement of Artsakh\u00bb by Slava Sargsyan. According to Ashot Piliposyan`s speech this work is the result of many years of observations and records of the author. The council praised Sargsian`s great role in preservation and popularization of historical and cultural monuments in Artsakh as well as pointed out some instructions for improvements.<\/p>\n
The council has also discussed other current issues.<\/p>\n
