AN OPEN-CLASS ABOUT MONUMENT’S PROTOCOLS IN GEGHARKUNIK PROVINCE

On the initiative of the regional Service PHE of Gegharkunik an open class was held in Makaryan School No. 1 of Sarukhan village “Commemoration of the Armenian architects and architectural forms in the protocols”. Shushan Hakobyan, deputy head of the regional service during the open class spoke about the monuments which were relate to the creator of the monument and are evidence of the period of its construction. One of the most used terms is the verb “to build”. Nearly all kings and princes, abbots, and architects used to call themselves “builders”. Sh. Hakobyann draw particular attention to the records related to a group of builders and architects. The purpose of the open-class was to familiarize students with the names of prominent architects of the Monuments protocols.

The open class was followed by a lively discussion, during which they spoke about the historical observations left by several prominent historians. Being prepared in advance, the children themselves also presented interesting information.

At the end of the open class, Sh. Hakobyan underlined. “Time is running, sometimes many individuals are forgotten, but they leave behind stone sculptures which are the evidence of the genius of our architects, and we must also remember with reverence “the founder and constructer, the builder of these monuments”.
