Three-day exchange experience programme realized

A three-day training course exchange experience entitled “Museum, Education, Atracct” held in Yerevan, which was realized on the initiative of the British Museum programme participated (in 2014-2015), expert of the “Service Protection” NCSO, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Davit Poghosyan, the coordinator of the museums education Hayk Mkrtchyan and the director of the Russian Art Museum. The three-day programme funded by the British Museum is the first event in the format of the region which also includes a number of the organizations the “Service for the Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum Reservations” NCSO. A three-day seminar-training “Museum, Education, Attract” attended by the experts of the Manchester Art Gallery, the British Museum, “Glasgow museums’ resource centre, state collections of Dresden art centre, as well as members of the British Museum’s annual international training program and 16 representatives of Armenia museums. Among them was also the Head of the “Metsamor” historical-archaeological museum-reserve Artavazd Zaqyan, on his initiative the coordinator of the British Museum’s Near East department Nigel Talise visited the “Metsamor” historical-archaeological museum-reserve, met the deputy in the field of scientific activities, doctor of historical sciences, professor Ashot Piliposyan. He presented Nigel Talise the permanent exhibition of the museum and spoke about the excavation of Metsamor. The participiants of the programme visited “Garni” and “Zvatrnots” Historical-Cultural Museum-Reservations, where tours were organized for them.The aim of the “Museums, Education, Attract” programme is to make the visits more active utilizing local and international experience. At the end have been developed joint programmes. Since 2014 Armenia participated in the training programme of the British Museum and the expert of NCSO, Candidate of Science David Poghosyan, since 2015.
