“Protection services” NCSO`s Regional Service of Syunik department deputy Naira Hayrapetyan organized campaign for 7th grade students of secondary school No. 1 in Meghri and in areas of Gudemnis and monuments of Kuris.

The aim of campaign was to introduce younger generation the cultural heritage transmitted from generations. Kuris village students learned about the local monuments, received information on the lithographs engraved on them, and then carried out sanitation works. In the Village (former name Kuravank) maintained St. Sarkis Church, from 15-16 centuries. Kuris 1.5 km south-east from Kuris is Hgerak village, where there is a Holy Savior Church, preserved in 10-17 centuries. The ruins of the ancient settlement dating back Kurkutakhach. St. Church of the Savior on the verge of the open pit mine extensions Copper-Molybdenum Combine. It was the only remaining building from Agarak (Hgerak) village.
