“MEDIEVAL ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE OF ARMENIA” EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM HAS LAUNCHED

” Service for protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum-Reservations ” NCSO and Kotayk Regional Service today visited Kotayk region, Abovyan No. 2 Primary School. The school and district service actively cooperate in implementing joint measures. School pupils and teachers involved in sanitation and beautification works of monuments.

In this context, cooperation “Medieval architectural heritage of Armenia” Educational program began with the start of the 1200 school pupils.

“Protection service” NCSO`s deputy director Karen Pahlevanyan welcomed high school students, educators, said that such events are important in the educational upbringing of the younger generation. The recognition of our cultural heritage, caring attitude is the duty of all of them, he said, adding that the department plans to hold similar events in other regions as well.

NCSO`s culture propagation, utilization and marketing fellow Serob Hunanian briefly presented the organization’s branch museums reserve, spoke about the significance of the historical monuments in the area.

With spectral display the students pretty interesting information conveyed by the non-scientist secretary Ashot Piliposyan. He presented the factual data medieval churches, talked about their architectural value, historical significance, cited legends.

Head of Kotayk Regional Service Kamo Hakobyan also touched upon the preservation of monuments, the district work, offenses committed against monuments. He said similar cases were recorded during this 5 year period.

Summarizing the event, the school Principal Svetlana Hovhannisyan thanked the No. 2 school just for this event. She expressed confidence that the joint cultural and educational programs will be implemented in the near future.

On May 28, Kotayk Regional Service employees, college students, teachers organized campaign involving top teams.
