“EU WANTS TO STRENGTHEN THE CULTURAL BONDS WITH ARMENIA”. P. SVITALSKI

Within the framework of “European heritage days” the startup of “Heritage and nature” events was given from Stepanavan’s Dendropark  after Leonovich. The head of the European union’s delegation in Armenia Peter Svitalski and the minister of culture of RA Armen Amiryan highlighted the participation of Armenia in the events organized by European countries.

“This is a great opportunity for the European union to show Armenia’s enormous role in the European heritage. Without the participation of Armenia European culture would be poorer. In Europe’s faculties of architecture the observation of “Zvartnoc” temple is included in the educational  program, in conservatories the art of Komitas is studied, etc,. “We are very grateful to the minister of culture Armen Amiryan for the participation”, mentioned Svitalski in his speech. In his words EU wants to strengthen the cultural bonds with Armenia, by implementing new projects.

“I’m sure that heritage and nature together create the very environment, which gives the opportunity to once more reevaluate our love towards motherland. In these days the National assembly of RA, Yerevan’s cognac factory and Opera and ballet theatre after Spendiaryan will also open their doors. These buildings are significant parts of our heritage and will open their doors dor the citizens”, mentioned Armen Amiryan.

Within the framework of “European heritage days”, more than 100 events are planned in the Republic of Armenia and Artsakh. In minister Amiryan’s words treeplanting in the monument territories has also been planned.

The members of the event walked in Dendropark founded by polish engineer Edmon Leonovich in 1931, where plants brought from different part of the world have been uprooted firmly.

The next stop was the territory of “Lori Berd” historical cultural reservation, where they were met with bread and salt.  “Masunq” ethnographic song and dance ensemble’s and “Holy Tiramayr” chore’s spiritual performances made the advice of the day more thorough.
