A scientific-educational event dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the foundation of St. Astvatsatsin church was held by the initiative of NCSO’s Ararat regional service, in which pupils, teachers, priest Derenik Mikayelyan took part.
Greeting everyone, the head of the regional service Roman Karapetyan mentioned about the rich architectural heritage of the Armenians and the significance of its reservation. The deputy director of the regional service Anahit Dallakyan gave significant information about the history of Shahumyan community and particularly about St. Astvatsatsin church.
Priest Derenik delivered his speech starting with the Lord’s prayer. He also touched upon the significant role of the Armenian apostolic church in the upbringing of children, greeting that kind of events.
By the end of the event it was decided to organize cognitive excursion in the monument territories of the republic’s different regions.
