THE MONUMENTS OF SHIRAK REGION WERE PRESENTED THROUGH PAINTING

“Protection service” NCSO’s division of events planning and marketing and Shirak’s regional service held a painting competition entitled “Let’s paint the monuments of our region” in Spandaryan community’s secondary school.

At the beginning of the event the head of the regional service Valer Nazaretyan told about monuments protection and popularization.

More than 40 pupils took part in the competition held with three phases. The head of the regional service V. Nazaretyan, deputy head G. Ghulijoghlyan, teachers and others were involved in the jury.

In the first phase the best 8 participants were selected, second phase overcame 3 pupils Gayane Hovhannisyan, Anjela Avagyan and Milena Davtyan. The best 3 participants painted Shirak region’s Mayisyan village’s church-7th century, Bardzrashen village’s Astvatsatsin church-7th century, Spandaryan community’s newly found khachkar.

The best triple that overcame the phases of the competition got souvenirs from NCSO, puzzles about monuments trying to collect them.

Another talented pupil Tigran Khachatryan who had painted a church with his imagination was awarded with a certificate.

The school was also awarded with a certificate for participation.
