ARMENIAN AND GEORGIAN SCHOOLCHILDREN VISITED NCSO

“Protection services of the Ministry of Education has welcomed school students and teachers of the “Mkhitar Sebastatsi” school and Tbilisi N 98 school. The educational project “Public Educational Eco Tour” is an annual environmental education project, which this year is held in the “River City” international program. It`s director Ashot Bleyan presented Eco Tour`s program, spoke about it`s importance and called on other educational institutions and non-governmental organizations to join the program. According to Ashot Bleyan it is a great opportunity to learn about the past and present of our capital flowing river.

During the study visit to NCSO culture propagation, utilization and marketing department leading researcher Serob Hunanian by spectral display presented to the Armenian and Georgian schoolchildren the in the monuments near the river. Young people also had the opportunity to see the organization’s funds held in the monuments and old photos.

NCSO`s anthropologist Hasmik Simonyan presented the Center and Red Hill archaeological monuments near the river, talk about the excavations made in the past. Hasmik Simonyan said that the excavations will enable more of our time to learn about the sites.

Menua Gevorgyan spoke about the past and current state of the Red Bridge.

Eco Tour`s participants next event will be in Tbilisi.
