By the initiative of NCSO’s Gegharqunik regional service an open lesson was held in Hayravank and Berdkunq communuty’s secondary schools for the secondary school pupils. The aim of the event was to introduce our cultural heritage to the younger generation, as well as to make the region’s historical and natural environment recognizable to pupils.
The responsibles of NCSO’s regional service told pupils about the lifestyle, traditions of the inhabitants during early ages.
Pupils got acquainted with the monuments, the eras of their construction, historical role and significance in the territories of Hayravanq fortress, Aghkala’s cyclopean fortress, the cyclopean-type wall, Hayravank monastery, khachqars . During the open class the pupils enthusiastically presented the folk stories written from literature.
The knowledge got in here will draw the pupils nearer to our national roots and sources, as knowing the culture of your motherland and bearing the responsibility of its reservation is the duty of each citizen.
