The regional service PHE of Kotayq together with Abovyan Public Library organized a meeting during which presented a number of issues concerning monuments in Kotayq region. Aramayis Sedrakyan (researcher of the regional service) explained more clearly conservation issues of pictograms, churches, monasteries and vishapaker (vishapaker was a god of fire and war worshiped anciently and historically in Armenia). A. Sedrakyan showed photos of stone tools which had been exhibited from various places. He made a reference to the monuments aged more than 6000 years and Medieval cross-stones. A. Sedrakyan also spoke about monuments at unreachable heights which sometimes were moved and damaged. The reason is ignorance, that`s why a public discussion was organized. The aim was to inform employees and learners about the historical and cultural heritage. During discussion Kamo Hakobyan (head of the regional service) and researcher Aramayis Sedrakyan answered questions related to the conservation and investigation issues. In the end, the library staff thanked for an interesting discussion and proposed to make such meetings more frequently.
