Kindly inviting to “Amberd fortress” On September 23 at 14:00 to take part in the event accompanied by national traditions, music and dance. Clown-tightrope will perform with an interesting program. The clown with unique tricks and adventurous humours promises unforgettable moments to the audience.
The aim of the event is to remind people about the traditions of tightrope walking.
P.S. The head of Amberd’s archaeological excavations’ expedition group Hovsep Orbeli mentioned about the clown’s cemetery excavated from the adjacent room of Amberd’s bathroom in his “12th century bath and the clown” work. This is the evidence of the fact that a royal clown used to work in Amberd fortress. According to Orbeli the clown was brought from western countries, as it was not accepted in the East to make fun of clowns.
