By the joint initiative of NCSO’s Ararat regional service and Zangakatun community’s secondary school an open lesson entitled “Let’s recognize and protect” for schoolchildren.
A brief information about monuments protection was presented by the head of regional service Roman Karapetyan. Deputy head Anahit Dallakyan touched upon the 6 more popular monuments of the region “Artashat”, “Dvin”, “Khor Virap” and “St. Karapet” monastic complexes, “Kaqavaberd” and “Tapi fortress”. The lecture was accompanied by a side show about monuments.
Anahit Dallakyan touched upon the history, monuments of Zanagakatun community, including Paruyr Sevak’s house-museum, “Hortun” and “Aghkilisa” residence.
By the end of the meeting the headmaster of the school mentioned that events like that tighten education-culture relation. The head of the regional service and deputy head discussed questions concerning excursions and expeditions.
In Goravan community’s secondary school an exhibition entitled “Old and new Yerevan” dedicated to Yerevan’s 2800th anniversary was organized. NCSO’s Ararat regional service held the exhibition with the support of NCSO’s division of marketing and events planning. It includes more than 60 documents of old and new Yerevan.
The director, teachers and pupils were present at the opening of the exhibition. The head of NCSO’s Ararat regional service Roman Karapetyan and deputy head Anahit Dallakyan presenting the exhibition dedicated to Yerevan’s 2800th anniversary, detailed about the oldest Astafyan street, the photos of Yerevan’s castle and Dzoragyugh, Yerevan’s blue mosque taken in 1885. The school also joined the exhibition presenting two shields telling about 2800-year old capital.
The headmaster of the school mentioned that this kind of cognitive exhibitions help to not only learn more about old Yerevan but also get acquainted with the capital’s architectural features.
