On December 25 /14:00/ the exhibition of photographer, ASSR honored artist Guros (Gurgen Paronyan) will be opened in “Zvartnots” historical-cultural museum-reserve.
Guros was born in Goris in the family of Melik Ohanyans.
Since 22 hestarting taking photos, documenting the most picturesque corners of his hometown’s nature, the most interesting and cherished images, the life of the city, villages of cascade architecture.
The emotions of Guros are expressed in his paintings in a unique way. In his works eternal love and dedication towards hometown and nature are felt.
25 of his paintings dedicated to historical monuments, also the most part of glass sketches is preserved in the “Protection service” NCSO.
Highly qualified duplicates dedicated to historical monuments will be presented for the first time.
P.S. in 1928 he opened an artistic photographer’s studio in Goris, which functioned till 1923. In 1933 Guros moved to Yerevan in 1933 with his family. The meeting with the honored artist Panos Terlemezyan was a turning point in the photographer’s life. In 1936 Guros studied in Leningrad’s academy of fine arts (6 months). In the same year he took part in the republican exhibitions. In 1945, 1958, 1968 he organized personal exhibitions, in 1939, 1958 took part in the ten days of Armenian art in Moscow.
