AN OPEN CLASS DEDICATED TO THE NECROPOLISES OF LCHASHEN

On the initiative of the Regional Service PHE of Gegharkunik an open class for the students of the Ashot Ter-Grigoryan’s Secondary school of Lchashen community dedicated to the preservation of monuments was held. During the open class deputy Head of the Regional Service PHE of Gegharkunik Ashkhen Movsisyan and school teacher Lusine Hovhannisyan spoke about the necropolises of Lchashen (state index 4.40.6), as well as the Bronze Age Cyclopean castle-necropolis dating back to the 2nd-1st millennia BC and historical and cultural significance of monument preservation. A. Movsisyan told about the evidences discovered about the royal tombs and presented the details of the burial ritual. While presenting information about the historical monuments she wants the young people to be caring about the preservation of the monuments. The open class was followed by a lively discussion in which reference was made to the preservation of our rich cultural heritage, sanitation and beautification activities in the area of monuments. At the end the students also presented their knowledge about the monuments of the region.
