On the initiative of “Protection Service” NCSO`s Gegharkunik regional service recently organized an open class in Sevan titled “The region’s history and preservation of historical monuments and the environment.” for No. 1 primary school students in grades 8-9.
Deputy Head of Service of Gegharkunik Region Ashkhen Movsisyan and school`s history teacher Silva Gevorgyan introduced our cultural heritage, spoke about the importance of keeping them intact and transmit to future generations.
Students interested in the history of the monastery of Sevan. Deputy head of provincial service answered student`s questions and touched upon the history of monument, it`s architectural importance and historical overview.
In the end of the open class the pupils have expressed their readiness to clea rthe territories of monuments in their region. The initiative will be implemented in near future.
