Facebook user Hrachya Muradyan verified about the entry of cattle into Vayots Dzor region’s Vernashen community’s Spitakavor monastery (state index 9.15.4). Sharing Hrachya Muradyan’s resentment, it is worth to be mentioned that the regional services of NCSO keeps in the center of attention especially those monuments which are not fenced.
Cultural heritage is a national fortune so for the preservation of it not only Protection Service but also State and local government bodies and residents are responsible.
Particularly, according to the law’s article 10 of the Republic of Armenia about “The reservation and usage of historical-cultural monuments and environment” state government bodies provide supervision to the reservation and usage of monuments, taking measures in the process of reservation and usage of them.
According to the a, c points of the above mentioned article local self-government bodies support the reservation of state monuments as well as provide the implementation of the special regime’s demands established in the protection zones of the community. It is mentioned in article 13 to involve the monuments which are in need of sanitary cleanings in the sanitary cleaning scheme formation.
What concerns the residents of the community, the NCSO’s regional service workers meet with our citizens periodically explaining to them to circuit the monument territories while taking their cattle to pasture.
But it is a fact that those works are not always productive.
The Directorate of NCSO is sure that the problem can be solved with the help of enclosing those areas. Unfortunately, because of financial problems the placing of a fence in the territory of Spitakavor monastery is still in the process.
Taking into consideration the activation of tourism, Melanya Dovlatyan the head of Vayots Dzor regional service asked Manvel Davtyan the head of RA police’s Eghegnadzor’s Department head for support in the provision of public order.
Law inforcement bodies verified offering to give information about the cultural-historical monuments and museums located in Eghegnadzor, the road to them and the availability of transport.
