Protection Service NCSO has organized a conference “From Khosrov Kotak to Karo Ghafadaryan” devoted to the 110th birth anniversary of archaeologist, historian, museum expert Karo Ghavadaryan.
Famous scientists Murad Hasratyan, Hayk Avetisyan, Ashot Piliposyan, Frina Babayan, Nyura Hakobyan, Hayk Avetisyan and others will perform with their reports in the conference hall of Armenian national agrarian university on July 17, presenting Karo Ghafadaryan’s invaluable invest in the Armenian culture and science.
Having a great contribution to the researches, excavations and reservation of monuments, Ghafadaryan has also published a great number of articles and books. From 1936-1939 he has organized the first scientific exhibition in “Zvartnoc” cultural-historical museum-reserve. From 1940-1964 he has leaded Armenia’s national gallery of history, making it one of the most important cultural-scientific centres of the country.
More than five years of his scientific life he has devoted to the collecting, editing and publishing of Toros Toramanyan’s heritage. The famous scientist is considered to be the founder of the museum exhibition’s scientific project in Armenia.
