RUSSIAN MUSICIANS ALSO JOINED TO THE SPIRITUAL MUSIC PERFORMANCES

Spiritual music again reigned in “Garni” historical-cultural museum-reserve. “Zvartnoc” quartet headed by Tigran Koninyan attracted the visitors with its’ wonderful performances. Makar Ekmalyan’s and Komitas’s compositions were included in the playlist: “Ter voghormea”, “Aravot lusaber”, “Kilikia”, “Marmin Terunakan” and others.

The concert had attracted foreign guests as well, they listened to the songs with great satisfaction.

In 11-year-old Matvey Stepanov’s words from Saint Petersburg, although the words are not understandable, songs are so beautiful and effective, that one gets attached immediately. The young boy was admired by the quartet’s performance a few days ago in “Zvartnoc” historical-cultural museum-reserve.

“We have recorded my Armenian friend Ashot’s performance, will show you once”, mentioned Stepanov, adding that he had already managed to admire with the beauty of our sightseeings.

Russian tourist group made a wonderful surprise for the visitors. “Festival” vocal ensemble’s singers performed in the concert. They also performed some of Komitas’s compositions.

In “Festival’s” art director Valentin Maslovki’s words the impressions are extremely beautiful and pleasant.

“Everything is magical, just look at the walls of this temple, nowhere in the world will you ever see such beauty. I am very impressed by the beauty of Armenian architecture. Armenians are talented and powerful nation, singing in this temple is a great honor for us, our chore’s dream came true: we sang in Armenia”, added Maslovski.

He considers it extremely pleasant to sing with such professional quartet like “Zvartnoc” is, as each of the singers’ voices is a unique pearl.

The members of “Festival” have also visited Khor Virap, “Zvartnoc” museum-reserve, Edjmiatsin, and Geghard.
