By the initiative of NCSO’s Ararat regional service the 375th anniversary of Holy Hakob church’s establishment was celebrated. Neighboring Masis village’s secondary school pupils, teachers and parents took part in the scientific-educational event. By the invitation of the employees of the regional service, priest Eprem Harutyunyan of Holy Astvatsatsin church was also present in the event.
The employees of regional service told about the history of Burastan community and its monuments, the construction of Holy Hakob church. Roman Karapetyan, the head of the regional service and his deputy Anahit Dallakyan told the students about the importance of the reservation and popularization of monuments, introduced the historical-cultural heritage of Ararat region, recommending to be more careful about the monuments.
Priest Eprem Harutyunyan greeted the initiative after the prayer, further admonishing the youth to be more caring towards the monuments. The scientific-educational event was ended by the exchange of information gathered by the pupils about the monuments of the region.
