Within the framework of the “Vankits Vank”/”From church to church”/ initiative, its authors Yeganyan Davit, Janinyan Tiran, and Julieta Ghardashyan with the support of the Tavush province of Historical Environment Preservation and the Diocese of Tavush of the Armenian Apostolic Church, as well as with the participation of a group of active young people, cleaning and improvement works of the monastic complexes of Tavush province are being carried out. The next stop of the initiative of “Vankits Vank” was Deghdznut /Deghdzut/ monastic complex, located in the village of Acharkut.
Before starting the cleaning work, Bishop Bagrat Galstyan, the leader of the Diocese of Tavush, told the participants about the history of the monastery, then the territory of the monastery was cleared of vegetation and garbage. Bishop Bagrat Galstyan, the leader of the Diocese of Tavush, , Hovhannes Kirakosyan the head of the regional service of Tavush, Hovik Alaverdyan, the territorial coordinator of Dilijan, Razmik Pashinyan the watcher of the Deghdznut /Deghdzut/ monastic complex, young people, schoolchildren took part in the cleaning and improvement works.
