The 11th-9th centuries BC, a clay cup, from the collection of a necropolis of “Sarukhan “Pali Tak” (II-I millennium BC)

This is a cup from the Early Iron Age period, dating back to the 11th-9th century. It was found in the necropolis of “Sarukhan “Pali Tak”. This is one of the archeological artifacts kept in the archeology funds of the “Service for the protection of historical environment and cultural museum-reservations” SNCO.

A clay cup

Whitish, glazed, with a narrow (absent) bottom, a trumpet-shaped body stretching upwards, and fold-out rounded lips. An ornament of deep diagonal lines intersecting below the lip between a pair of deep horizontal grooves (having the form of fur tree). The decorative belt of patterned triangles starts from the lower part and ends at the bottom part of the vessel.
