With the initiative of the Regional Service PHE of Geharkunik an open class entitled «Monuments-Histories» was held at Gavar Secondary School #8. The aim was to enrich knowledge of cultural heritage among younger generations. During the open class the students also learned about archaeological excavations and their significances. According to Deputy Head of Regional Service PHE Shushan Hakobyan a thousand-year old findings prove that the place where they live is one of the oldest settlements of mankind.
In her speech Shushan Hakobyan noted, «Armenian Culture has never been isolated in its history and has always been interknitted with world culture. Our historical and cultural monuments are the cumulative achievement of the Armenian people for centuries which can be characterized as reflection of mind, talent and exquisite sense of beauty. We should take care to preserve our cultural heritage and pass it on to future generations so that they can also proudly tell about our handmade books, our cathedrals, our castles and education centers».
With the initiative of Hatsarat Secondary School students and class teacher A. Khachatryan an open class was followed by an event dedicated to the birthday of Constable Vazgen Sargsyan. The students presented military art skills and cultural heritage.
