Results of the courses of ” Young specialist in Museum Arrangement” conducted organized on the initiative of “Protection service” NCSO and Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan. For several months during the courses more than 100 students of Armavir region gave the opportunity to learn many famous museum collections activities in Armenia and in other countries. One of the important aims of the course is to enhance young people’s visits to museums.
The classes were conducted by students of the Department of Museology. They are also introduced to the students the skills to create a museum collection, presented together and made this region a special museum collections.
“Young specialist in Museum Arrangement” courses summarizing attended by the organizers, deputy head of “NCSO`s” funds, lecturer of Museology, Library and Bibliography ambions, Lianna Gevorgyan, the organization’s culture propagation, utilization and leading specialist of marketing department Serob Hunanian, Director of the museum Alvard Grigoryan. The last class were present the parents of the participants.
Alvard Grigoryan spoke about the uniqueness and attractiveness of profession, after hearing the pupils Lianna Gevorgyan said that the initiative was the first time and, of course, could also be flaws, she assured that the organizers will consider them in the future to correct and to make things more interesting. A lot of children said, that “Young specialist in Museum arrangement” group sessions were an excellent opportunity to get acquainted not only museums but also the opportunity to decide on the choice of future profession.
Given the great interest and active participation of students, the organizers said that they intend to continue trainings.
An agreement has been reached to organize a tour for participants of “Young specialist in museum arrangement” to “Garni”, “Zvartnots” Historical-cultural reservations and “Metsamor” historical-archaeological historical museums.
