Garnik Gevorgyan’s solo concert with folk songs, accompanied by “Erevan” folk instruments orchestra, took place in “Garni” historical-cultural museum-reserve. The guests of the concert were very impressed. The beautiful atmosphere of the folk music reigned in the territory of museum-reserve. A surprise was also being made for the guests. They had the chance of enjoying G. Gevorgyan’s teacher Arsen Grigoryan’s (Mro) songs.
Cultural events organized in “Garni” and “Zvartnoc” museum-reserves by the initiative of the ministry of culture of RA and Protection service NCSO have been widely accepted by the public.
Protection Service NCSO intends to continue this initiative in other monument territories of RA regions.
In NCSO’s director Ara Tarverdyan’s words “Arpi” reserve, Noravanq monastery and other monuments will be included in the project.
Arsen Grigoryan, the adviser of the minister of culture of RA mentioned that the organization of folk music concerts are real steps taken for the popularization of our culture.
“We put the emphasis on the reservation of national values. Today serious steps are taken for the revival of cultural life outside the capital. Each of us should have his investment in preserving our national feature. Today the bearer, representative and protector of culture is the generation of independence and we are ready to support them, in their way of presenting culture to public”, concluded A. Grigoryan.
