DEMONSTRATIONS IN ARARAT, KOTAYQ AND GEGHARKUNIK REGIONS

By the initiative of NCSO’s Ararat’s regional service and NCSO’s division of marketing an exhibition of photos entitled “pomegranate and grape in the medieval Armenian architecture” was opened in Vedi’s library. 15 photos reserved in NCSO’s fund were demonstrated. Employees of the library and pupils of the community’s N 2 school took part in the opening ceremony.

Roman Karapetyan, the head of the regional service suggested that pupils should visit different museums in Armenia as well as the monument territories of “Zvartnoc” historical-cultural museum-reserve, monastic complexes of Tatev and Noravanq, Ptghni church.

The deputy director of the regional service Anahit Dallakyan delivered a lecture. She mentioned in her speech that the pictures of grapes and pomegranate are widely spread in medieval Armenian sculpture and are perceived as national symbols.

A demonstration of panels dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the first republic of Armenia was organized by the initiative of NCSO’s Kotayq regional service and Hrazdan’s Geological museum.

The head of Kotayk’s regional service Kamo Hakobyan touched upon the history and cultural significance of dragon stones. The museum’s director A. Gevorgyan also delivered a speech.

The head of Hrazdan city’s department of culture, sports and education, employees of municipality and regional library, students of Hrazdan’s state college were present at the event.

By the initiative of NCSO’s Gegharqunik regional service within the framework of International museums’ day and Museum nights “Gladzor university” documentary was displayed in a number of schools.
