Today in AGBU Armenian gallery the opening of “Museum expo 2018”took place. 34 museums will have the chance to be presented with interesting and educational programs to the visitors. “Protection service” NCSO, as well as NCSO’s “Metsamor” historical-cultural museum-reserve also participated with a separate pavilion. Among the presented pavilions are Jivani’s house-museum /Javakhq/, four museums of the Republic of Artsakh /Nikol Duman/, “Artsakh state historical-geological”, “Tigranakert state historical-cultural reserve”, “Shushi’s city museum” NCSO, as well as museums of Yerevan and other regions.
The aim of the event was to tighten the cooperation through tourism organizations, presenting inclusive programs for local and foreign tourists.
In the words of organizers for getting acquainted with the educational programs of the museums pupils from republic’s schools will also be hosted at “Museum expo 2018”.
In the official opening of the exhibition RA minister of culture Lilit Makunts, deputy minister Tigran Galstyan, minister of culture of RA Lernik Hovhannisyan and others took part. The materials presented in the pavilion of the “Protection service” NCSO were also introduced to the minister of culture.
The opening of the expo was preceded by an opening of a public conference, during which the orators highlighted the importance of the role of museums, emphasizing the dedication of museum employees to their work.
In the words of the minister the evidence is the exhibition presented in New York “Metropolitan” museum /collections of Armenian history museum, Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, Matenadaran, and of a number of Armenian museums were presented/.
The minister of culture of the Republic of Artsakh Lernik Hovhannisyan discussed the activation of museum-community relations and how to make the museum more attractive for the foreigners.
“Museum is the greatest pledge of our identity, it can become the visit card of the city. We implement certain works for it”, mentioned L. Hovhannisyan.
The participants of the committee, among whom where specialists arrived from abroad, presented the modern and interesting approaches of programs to the visitors.
