OPEN LESSON DEDICATED TO BGHENO-NORAVANK IN SYUNIK

By the initiative of NCSO’s Syunik regional service an open lesson entitled “The Bgheno-Noravank” was held in Goris’s Yuri Bakhshyan school. The teachers, pupils of the school were present.

During the open lesson a film about Bgheno-Noravank’s architectural features was displayed, where the ornamental patterns of the structure were presented. The pupils learnt about high relief sculpture depicting mother and son, which is exhibited in New York’s “Metropolitan” museum.

They also talked about “Etchmiadzin’s Gospel” written in Bgheno Noravank. Also talked about the works of historiographers about the monastic complex.

The open lesson in which all pupils took part was very active and substantial.

The director of the school K. Karapetyan highlighted the importance of that kind events and thanked the event planners for the initiative.
