Khachkars from different parts of the Lori Berd community were collected, cleaned and moved to the territory of the “Lori Fortress”. Khackars were moved from their original position due to various circumstances. Also fragments of destroyed and damaged monuments of history and architecture were moved to the territory of the “Lori Fortress”.
In accordance with the established procedure, khachkars and fragments of monuments will be registered, studied, chronologized, if necessary strengthened, after which they will be presented to visitors of the “Lori Fortress”.
Unfortunately, before the stones were moved to the territory of the fortress, the employees of the “Service for the Protection of Historical Environment and Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserves” SNCO repeatedly noticed cases of their partial damage and / or theft.
