“Excavations have been carried out in over 40 tombs (1989-91). The tombs date back to the beginning of the Early Middle Bronze Age (23-22 BC) to the Iron Age (7-6 centuries BC)”, – said the head of the archaeological expedition, Doctor of Historical Sciences Ashot Piliposyan.
Anthropological materials will be studied by Ruzanna Mkrtchyan and Hasmik Simonyan. Specialists of the restoration laboratory of SNCO will work with the items, which will replenish the fund of the organization.
