On the birthday of the great Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan, February 19, the World Book Donation Day is also celebrated. From year to year it gets more and more popular, including not only educational institutions, but also museums, libraries, bookstores.
SNCO “Service for the Protection of the Historical Environment and Historical and Cultural Museums-Reserves”, in parallel with the preservation, use and popularization of monuments, also publishes works, monographs, guidebooks, catalogs, popular scientific materials.
To the Day of the Book Donation, SNCO joins with a variety of publications (in different languages) and scientific and educational programs.
On February 19, the organization will present popular science brochures to orphanages and the elderly homes as well as implement educational programs.
Popular scientific brochures dedicated to historical and cultural heritage, museum- reserves, monuments, collections of articles of scientific conferences, monographs will be handed over to regional museums, libraries, international educational institutions operating in Armenia (in foreign languages).
Partner organizations will also receive gifts from SNCO publications.
