A unique cultural event titled “The bronze response to interrupted prayer”, an exhibition, and a concert took place in “Zvartnots” historical and cultural museum-reserve.
The event was organized in cooperation with the “Service for the Protection of Historical Environment and Cultural Museum-reservations” SNCO and the National Center of Chamber Music /SNCO/.
The temporary exhibition hall of the “Zvartnots” historical and cultural museum-reserve was renovated, and equipped with a new lighting system, especially for the exhibition titled “The bronze response to interrupted prayer”.
After three months of cleaning, restoration, and conservation works, 41 church and secular museum objects discovered in the territory of Gndevank in 1981 were on display. The artifacts are as follows: bronze candle sticks, candelabrums, lanterns, torches, cymbals, flabellum, copper bowls, water pots, mortars, and bronze stirrups. Four porcelain bowls and 1 plate were also found, dating to the Chinese Ming wealthy period.
The great concert followed the exhibition with the participation of the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia, “Hover” State Chamber Choir, and pianist Hayk Melikyan, conductor of the orchestra was Luke Baghdasaryan/ Switzerland/.
State officials, representatives of the Republic of Armenia’s accredited diplomatic corps and famous personalities were present at the event.
The exhibition will run for three months.
