Archaeological excavations are mainly carried out in the territory of the wall and the two baths. During the excavations, various architectural details, walls, and floors have been discovered. There have also been opened the hypocaust floors of the baths, pipelines of the water supply system, reservoirs, and so on. It all gives us an insight into the structures and structural features of the period.
There have been opened various archaeological layers and a great number of archaeological objects including glazed pottery, pipes, coins, beads, jewelry, bathroom faucets, arrowheads, and decorative bricks have been found in the territory of “Lori Berd”.
The excavations are carried out by the “Historical and cultural heritage research center” SNCO (director: Arman Nalbandyan) with a separate grant allocated by the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Sports, and Culture.
