“Aghdjka Berd” fortress (Girl’s fortress) was probably built about the XIII century. The ruins of residential and household dwellings, a church with a cruciform plan and a water reservoir have been preserved in the territory of the fortress. Water was supplied to the fortress through clay tubes, first flowing into a small basin and then into the large reservoir. The walls and the dwellings are built of bluish basalt stone and lime mortar.
