AN OPEN CLASS DEDICATED TO 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

With the assistance of regional service of Yerevan (PHE) an open class (entitled «Armenian Genocide: Heritage which has no expiry date») was held for pupils of physics and mathematics specialized school after A. Shahinyan (attached to Yerevan state university).

In his report, researcher of the regional service of Yerevan Gnel Avetisyan touched the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 1948. He also presented the resolutions and declarations on the recognition and condemnation of the Genocide, adopted by different countries and international organizations in 2015. G. Avetisyan urged young people to remember these resolutions and declarations – Russian State Duma on April 24; German President Joachim Gauck on April 23; Austrian Parliament; Secretary General of the International Organization of la Francophonie on 22 and 24 April. The relevant documents are adopted by the European Parliament:
